Wow, he is beautiful! If I had the room and was closer, I'd love to take the fella in. Best of luck in finding him a great new home!

What a gorgeous boy! If you MUST send him to a shelter, be very cautious, since most will put down pits or pit mixes IMMEDIATELY without even trying to rehome them. Check with Pit Bull Rescue Central www.pbrc.com or www.blessthebullies.com (in Cookeville) if you need help. I have two right now, or I'd take him myself. It's such a shame you have to find him a new home...isn't there anything that you can do to keep him? Once properly socialized with children, they are wonderful with them. In England, they're actually called 'nanny dogs' because of this. At any rate, good luck. He deserves your best efforts.

Beautiful Pit, best of luck finding him a new home. If I wasn't stuck in the situation that I'm in now he'd be mine.

He is such a beautiful dog & If I didn't already have 3 & could afford another I would take him. PLEASE don't give him to just anyone if there is no way you can keep him. Just because SOOO may morons just want a "Pit" for an idiotic status symbol for whatever reason. I have to ward off kids & idiots around my neighborhood because they bring pits up to my fence (60" chainlink close to the road) & I have a female pit & a female chow/shar pei mix trying to fight them. Needless to say they don't hang around long because they know the SHTF fast like around here. Anyways, I'll keep my eyes peeled & ask my friends (I know a LOT of dog lovers) If they need a new companion.
