I picked up a new M&P9 last week. I took it out and shot it the other day. I shot ok with it but not what i had expected. The trigger is a little tricky compared to the glocks i have owned in the past. I'd love to hear some suggestions on aftermarket trigger modifications. I want to use this gun in IDPA but i'm a little worried about the accuracy i'm seeing right now. I now understand the term "combat accurate"

i also picked up this PF-9 a few days ago. I actually shot better groups with it than the m&p. I don't know if i "love" the color but its function before fashion as far as i'm concerned. I had no problems out of the gun (fired around 200 rounds.) I'm not going to say it was "fun" to shoot but it will work for the intended purpose.

My M&P9 is my favorite pistol right now. I'm not fond of the factory trigger either. I used this...

Made it a different gun. You will find a LOT of agreement among M&P owners.

EDIT: I used the duty/carry kit, because that's the purpose of my gun. There is also a competition kit.

In addition to the Apex parts which seem to be highly rated, you may also consider the Dawson Precision sights. On the M&P Forum they seem to be a popular addition.

I just ordered an M&P 9Pro which should be in next week. 5 inch barrel and light pipe sight. I am hoping to use it for an entry level stock competition handgun.

Congrats!! I have a M&P9c and love it. Lately I have been debating picking up the full size M&P9 as my primary CC in the winter.

I'm on my 3rd M&P9 right now. The stock triggers can vary from really good to not so good. I've had ones on both ends of the spectrum. The Apex is the way to go irregardless of the stock trigger yours came with. I'm also very fond of the Truglo TFO's on the M&P. The green and yellow contrast are very easy to pick up. All of my M&P's have been very accurate OTB

Nice gun! Hopefully we will have a chance to shoot before too long. Be interesting to compare the M&P with my G17 and SR9. Shooting them back-to-back-to-back should prove enlightening.

I've got Tru-Glo's on a couple of Glocks, and like them very much. No experience with Apex triggers, but I've heard a lot of good things about them.

I've shot mine side-by-side with a G19. I still have the M&P.
