Micro 40S&W’s??

Before giving up on finding a very small .40S&W…

The only thing I found that really interests me is the Kahr MK40. Before I give up or possibly look at 9mm’s (I don’t think I can:D); am I missing any other good ones?

In small handguns I already have an M&P40C and a J-frame, but I’m looking for something maybe a little thinner…. More concealable.

Walther PPS 40! Fits in my pocket with flush mag or IWB conp-tac minitar holster. I like it better than my LCR which is my alternate carry.

I know you drink the kool-aid when you buy something, but I havn't heard of many people who dont like them when they own them or get to shoot them alot. They are very very acurrate (fully supported chamber) for having a very short barrel( I can shoot sub 2" groups at 15 yards ((on a good day)) with federal 115 grain ball ammo and fiocchi 9xtp 115grain bullets). Mine is in 9mm but it is very easy to shoot, shoots very soft for a sub compact (.40 will be more than the 9mm I'm sure), and it has never had a hiccup of any kind (almost a 1000 rounds)and has shot everything I've feed it

If your looking for something thin light and dependable in .40 cal the pps would be my first pick. I went with the 9mm because of the extra round and the price of ammo. Spec say they or a little over an inch thick but thats measeured at the slide release really the whole gun it about 3/4 of and inch thick. easy too carry and hide (crossbreed super tuck). The only down sides I can see is the price and ease of finding accessories (but they are make more for them every day). Also If you think you will want night sights get them with the gun. I bought mine without then add them later, but it cost more that way. BTW the sights for the P99 fit perfectly

I asked a Sig rep about it - he said August was the target launch date, so figure sometime between late summer and Christmas.

The 40 is a little snappy but controllable as well.

I've had a PM40 as an EDC since about 2004. When weather turns cool and I wear heavier clothing I sometimes switch to a .45 Glock but if I only could own one CCW weapon, it'd be the Kahr.

If you can find a used one, kel-tec's p-40 is pretty small. Been out of production for a while now so its hit or miss, but you can still find them in pretty good condition for under $300 if you keep an eye open.

When I went looking, the one I picked was probably too fat for you (beretta PX4 subcompact) and the runner up may be worth a look (the CZ RAMI .40).
