Any Handgun Marksmanship Coaches Around?

Peejman's thread about one-handed vs two-handed shooting got me to thinking if there are any shooting instructors/coaches around Nashville/Clarksville. At this time I don't mean clearing the urban dwelling, position SUL tactical sort of shooting in teams. Ever hear of any handgun shooting coaches/instructors who are good at bullseye as well as IDPA or similar action shooting? Even though I like to shoot and have shot with quite a few good shooters I've never shot with a verifiable professional instructor who has the ability to watch you and then say, "Here is what you are doing well and not so well. Therefore here is how to reinforce the good, and here is a systematic approach to correct the bad." I'm thinking video taping would be good too.

Interesting concept.

Sort of like a golf coach/teacher. Frame by frame video of your swing and analyze it as you go. I sure there is a market for something like this in a large metropolitan city the size of Nashville. Maybe someone who teaches in the small group environment?

So, what would you be willing to pay for this service if it existed?

Several ranges in the Memphis area have classes for the improvement of marksmanship. RangeUSA has Intermediate and Advanced handgun classes to correct and improve shooting skills. The classes I taken were 3-4 students, $80-100 and ran 8 hours. My groups got smaller and faster in each of the classes I've taken. I'd think Nashville would have something similar.

For a nominal fee I'll stand there and tell you how much your f**king up and the many way you could be doing better, but aren't.

What does one pay for private lessons in any sport? I dunno what the going rate is. I personally don't know of anyone who shoots apprecialbly better than me and I got my shooting skills like most around here, I was born with them, I'm an American;)

IIRC from the golf business an average club pro gets from 50 to 100 bucks for an hour, depending on the country club and the level of certification of the pro.

I used to charge around $60.00 an hour/session when I used to instruct, but now I don't since I barely am stateside and when i am i try to spend it with family.

Good at Bullseye and IPSC or IDPA? Kinda like looking for a star sprinter who is also a top notch distance man. Not saying they ain't out there but few and far between.
