Just wondering, do you guys normally fill out and send in your gun warranty cards or do you consider that a type of registration?

Never done anything...and have sent a few in with no problems.

I register online sometimes when I think about it. I'm certainly not paranoid about a gun manufacturer having my info. When I don't register, it's because it's not really necessary.

I used to register through filling the card out, and popping it into the mail... then, I just got lazy and stopped. There isn't a gun manufacturer that I currently own, that won't honor a valid warranty concern with a firearm that I have, so if I have an issue, I'll call them up and we'll talk about it (and if they want the card info, or ask, at least I'll have it).

I stopped because they started asking more and more nosey, unrelated questions. The last one I saw asked why you had the gun, where you live, what else you own, and many other unacceptable things. Could be market research, could be something else, my paranoia kicked in though.

I don't fill them out. I still have the receipt if I bought it new, that ought to be sufficient.

They want your name and information to sell to other solicitors.

I usually register on-line. I don’t worry about who knows I own it. :)
