Best FFL for transfer in Johnson City / Tricities?

I'm considering purchasing an gun online because I've found a price that the local shops simply can't compete with. Anyone know of a good place in JC to get the transfer done - a place that won't over charge or refuse to do it because it's something they might carry?

Why don't you search on Gunbroker?

Or Buds.

I have, but that just seems to give me a list - not reviews. I'm hoping that someone here will have personal experiences that will tell me more about how well the transactions go with various ffls.

How about one of our sponsors?????.....TRI-CITIES GUN DEPOT...call Tom or Brian...I'm POSITIVE they would be glad to do the transfer for you.

I would go TCGD as well. I have used Byrds twice recently but I think TCGD is cheaper.

Yep I will second Tri-Cities Gun Depot in Elizabethton. They did a couple transfers for me. Brian and Tom will take car of you. It's worth the extra couple minutes drive.

Uhh...that would be a "third" for TCGD...;)

If you will call Tom or Brian they will be in the ballpark on price with the online stores.

This is 4 for TCGD. I have drove from Knoxville twice to buy a gun from them.

Sixths. TCGD was also the cheapest I found. Just make sure the seller is an FFL. No one in the area wants to accept from a non-FFL. Can't say I blame them as one problem can take a lot of time to clear up.

I will throw in my vote for the Gun Depot guys as well. I have used other FFLs in the past, but should I have another online purchase, I will definitely go to Tom and Brian.
