Just as the title says... Does anyone know where I can pick up some factory subsonic close to Nashville? If you don't know, I will take some recipes from you reloaders.

Thanks,

LS

It might be worth giving Tom over at Guns for America a call. I bought some subsonic 5.56 made by Engel Ballistic Research from him recently. He may stock the .308 stuff as well.

Thanks for the info... I hear the EBR stuff is top notch.

AC72, what kind of can are you running on the savage? I am gonna have to try out that load. Sounds like a winner.

I work in Nashville. If you need help with a load let me know. Subs need to be setup for your gun. What twist are you running? How long is your barrel? Do you have R5 rifling? Temperature also comes in to play. You need to shoot for 1040fps. Factory stuff is in the 950 range. Using a 180 grain bullet is a safe bullet to start with.

I have a Savage 10 FCP HS Precision. It has the 24" bull barrel with 1/10 twist. I am not for sure on the rifling, but it is probably whatever is standard. I am running a YHM 7.62 QD. I am enjoying it right now, but I would like to see it with the subsonic loads. I will let you know if I need some help on the loads.
