Just got a call from DOS. The dumb bunnies told me not to put my PoBox number on the form. Well they need it since that's my mailing address. Also asked about a dup. since the local idiots said it was against the law to have more than 1.

The lady is real nice, told me she needed to verify my po box, and would send out a app. so I can get my dup. HCP. Said she would NOT send me back to the local office.

So less than a week and I got a phone call on my HCP.

We shall see..............

I would imagine the wait is a lot easier to handle than going for it initially, as long as you haven't let the original expire. You don't have that anxious excitement about finally being able to carry, where the only thing holding you back is a tiny piece of plastic...

I submitted my renewal app thru my DMV on 1/28/11 and still haven't heard diddly squat. I would've thought the DMV process would be a bit faster than the mail since I have heard it is horrendous....

My original permit is good until June so I'm good but I hope to get it before then!

Still waiting....

All my paper work and finger prints were done on the 2/25/11.

I hope it's not to long of a wait.

I dread to renew mine. Last time it took 2 fees and 5 trips to the DMV before someone told me they changed it where they need a copy of your BC on file. Maybe I can just do the mail thing this time would paying double.

I renewed mine back in Feb and was fully expecting to have to carry around that letter since mine old one expired in late March but to my surprise I had the new one on just under 3 weeks. I was completely surprised!

mailed my renewal on 3-21-11 and received the new permit today on 4-22-11.

And I was pleasantly suprised that the expiration date on the new permit is in June of 2015, 4 years from when my current permit expires. I was expecting the expiration to be 4 years from the issue date which was a few days ago I suppose.

The renewal went smoothly, glad I mailed it and did not mess with going to Straw Plains.

I went the 'receipt and old permit' route. I'm G2G, just waiting on my new plastic.
