Update: Memoirs of the walking dead is now available for order!

Update 2/11/11: I've just been notified that Memoirs will be ready to order for $9.99 for Kindle in 24 hours!:)

Update again 2/14/11: Kindle eBook is now available! Amazon.com: Memoirs of the Walking Dead: A Story from the Zombie's Point of View eBook: Jason McKinney, Tabitha McKinney: Kindle Store

Eight months ago I wanted to tell a story from the undead's point a view so I put the laptop to use. Two months ago I took the initiative and purchased the services to self published it. I'm proud of it and I'm sure some people'll love it and some won't. Regardless, I received the proof tonight and I wanted to show my baby off to the zombie loving folks of TGO. I have to admit that I love the author photo. I present to you, Memoirs of the Walking Dead: A Story from the Zombie's Point a View. :D

Nice!

What does the Zombie have to say?

Braaaaainnsssss, that would be the cliched and over played zombie. lol My zombie would more likely ask you how your day was before having some type of prat fall.

Zombie's trying to say: can you spare a bite to eat? The book details the zombie trying to survive the undead apocalypse while dealing with his new situation. For him being dead is better than being alive. The zombies I've written about are self aware and try to "live" while the too often military attacks.

Congrats! Put me in line for one.

Thank you, Ghst. Hopefully you'll enjoy it once it's released. Here's what the jacket reads:

Meet Paul Rierson. He’s a zombie; though don’t let that fool you—Paul’s got a pretty big heart considering he doesn’t have a working one. And though he’s new to the whole un-dead experience, there’s no doubt he’s a pretty thoughtful guy. Sure he craves the taste of living flesh, and there’s that whole being hunted on a daily basis thing—zombie-life is no walk in the park—but when Paul meets Tracey Dobbs, a fellow newbie to the un-dead life, he’s smitten. He also comes to realize that in matters of life and death, perhaps being alive is not all it’s cracked up to be. Oh, and one more thing—dead people rule!

For any TGO members that may be interested in the book, I've got a discount set up. Enter EGY8E3CP at Amazon and it takes 25% off the $13.95 price. Thank you all for taking the time to read all of this and for the well wishes!

I tried to pre-order, but Amazon was not having it. Is it ready for preorder yet?

This is going to sound stupid but I hadn't thought of that. It may not be because the press release is set for the end of the month. I figured I'd let everyone know once it was ready. Let me check on that. Thank you for your interest and support, big. :D I do appreciate it! I should mention it's a comedy so hopefully folks will have the same type of sick humor as I do. Let me check with my publishing team (God I love the sound of that) andI'll get back to you on that preorder.

can't wait for the movie to come out

Can I get a walk on role? What about casting calls? Where can my agent get in touch with the casting folks? Will there be a sequel? This could be endless.....merchandising, dvd, blue ray, mcdonald's happy meals.......

Sorry, big. Preordering's not an option which kind of sucks. It'd be great if it was.

Thanks, strelcevina. I hope most will think so.

Yep, slow movers unless a walking value meal passes by. If that happens it's more like a brisk jog. I wanted movement but no sprinters. I hate sprinting zombies. Why do some movies have the living die only to come back as some kind of track star?

That's awesome...I will definately pick up a copy.

Thank you, brooksjr. Hopefully you will enjoy it. :) I'm sure some will say it was pretty good while others will say otherwise.

That would be fracking awesome but I'd settle for one person liking it... or my first million. Which ever comes first.:) Honestly, Shaun of the Dead was inspiration.

:) Sure. Walk on's for everybody! Just tell them I sent you at the Paramount main gate. Of course Dark Castle and Universal won't stop calling either. Decisions, decisions.

Happy meal toys I'm particular about. The figures would have to come with exploding head action. :P Got to put those little ketchup packets to good use. Anything less would be unacceptable!

Honestly, I am doing a sequel. Living with the Walking Dead. :)

I'm in too. The teaser is great and I'm sure the book will be as well.

Thank you, Lager. A few people that read the manuscript laughed while asking me why I haven't sought professional help yet. The main remark made is: There's something very wrong with you. I don't know how to take that.:)

That and I think we want to get you to sign our Copies. You need to come up with something special to sign just for TGO members :)

I am 100 percent serious if you get a movie (here's hoping) you need to try to get some of us in first. :D
