looking for a place to hunt/shoot

im looking for somewhere to hunt the 2011-2012 season. just before 2010 season i lost my lease and didnt get to hunt much at all.

it can be a lease, hunting club, or just someones private land. and it needs to be within reasonable driving distance preferably within an hour. fayette county would be perfect..

i work nights so i need to be able to make it back in time for work so thats the only reason

i will be glad to pay or work my butt off for it

also if u dont have anywhere for me to hunt i really need somewhere i can shoot.

i love shooting clays and sighting in my rifles but have nowhere to go so all my guns are a waste.

if u let me shoot on your land id be glad to let you shoot my guns or ill throw clays with ya.

or if u just need a hunting partner that could be me.

im 20 years old and have been hunting and fishing all my life. its my true passion and i devote every minute of my free time outdoors and every penny i earn goes to hunting and fishing. i follow all twra guidlines and buy my lisence every year.

i am a member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, North american hunting club, North american fishing club, and the QDMA

please guys any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that's what he's looking for. I'm too far away to be of any help to him. There should be a WMA or two near memphis somewhere.

there are two of them but one is only bowhunting and sadly due to work i dont get to hunt the early season all that much.. and the other one is veeeeeerrrrryyyy overcrowded ive been six times and everytime have had my hunt ruined by someone walking through my setup, or the gamewarden checking liscenses... i know they have a job to do but he has ruined my hunt 4 times... seems to me like he could just sit on the road somewhere and catch people leaving.

I feel for you, I am having a lot of the same problems, my best suggestion is to develop a relationship with a land owner, maybe this year offer to help mend a fence, dig drainage, etc. and perhaps next year they will be comfortable with you hunting on their property. I have been helping someone with their land out in DeKalb Co. and hopefully in the future he will allow me to hunt on his property.

This is exactly what I do and it has paid off. I started out coyote hunting then on my days off would go and help out the landowner. Over time they just told me I could hunt anything I wanted on the property. I never asked to hunt deer, turkey,etc. I just helped them out because they let me hunt for free. I think it's the right thing to do. It's the best way to start a good relationship with the landowners. Also they will tell their friends and who knows you mat end up with lots of land to hunt.

That's what I do with the land owner where I hunt. We have built a trust with each other. It started when I give him a key to my truck. Told him if he ever needed to move it for anything, "here's the key". Now, I have keys to everything on his property. I even go down and bushhog for him. He lets me run the property (187) acres. All based on trust.
