When looking for a 40-9 conversion barrel for a G23, I had zero luck locally in Middle TN. Seems that if Franklin Gun or Guns and Leather don't carry them--very few others (if any) would. I know there are those who would offer a different perspective on this...YMMV. Both stores said they could order them, which I appreciated. At that point, I just thanked them for their time and ordered one directly from LWD here.

If you don't mind the barrel extending past the slide about 1/2", you may choose to get the conversion barrel for models 23/32. It will also fit the subcompact frame on the 33 and 27. Might come in handy if you have a 23 or 32 or ever plan to get one. Also, you might choose to get model 17 mags for use with the conversion barrel rather than those for the model 26. That way, you have them to use in any size Glock frame should you ever buy one with a larger frame. I mention this because in my case, I acquired a model 34 soon after I purchased three 15-round G19 mags. More than once, I wished I'd just gotten G17 mags instead. The exception to this thinking would be if you want to keep training consistent with the subcompact-sized magazines for grip consistency.

Just some thoughts on modularity and flexibility. Hope this was of some help to you. Best of luck with your conversion endeavors.
