Pretty neat stuff. There are some videos on youtube doing comparisons with gas. It's expensive but it has to be safer than carrying gas in your trunk.

I'd say to put your gas in the tank and save yourself $47.90 a gallon! :)

It says it is a non-flammable fuel. I am not a chemist, but this seems contradictory. Can something be combustible but not flammable? I thought those were synonymus.

That is exactly what I was thinking but I guess somehow it works or it is one huge scam that they have going. If it does work it may not would be such a bad idea if it wasnt so gosh darn expensive. Even so I will try and keep an eye on it and if it is legit it may be something for the lady to have with her. She is the kind to run her tank very low but has never run out of gas yet.

Myself on the other hand am the kind to consider anything less than 1/2 tank to be in need of a fill-up.

looks kind of dumb to me he set the gas can down right under where he was lighting the sample AND didnt put a cap on the spout.

I am skeptical. Also, it just seems unecessary.

I bought something like that about 10 years ago it was about $10 for a half a gallon at kmart. I had it in the trunk of my car that didnt have a working gas gauge, i had to use it one time after my wife drove the car and didnt put any gas in it. It said plainly on the bottle that it mixed with the leftover fuel below your pickup tube and allowed it to get high enough to be used.

Worked but the car ran like crap but it did get me to a gas station.

It probably needs the compression of the engine to become "more" flammable, similar to the way diesel acts. Diesel is actually very stabile and less flammable than gas (thats why the military uses it rather than gas for most vehicles) until it is compressed and then it explodes. This is why a diesel doesn't use spark plugs, it uses glow plugs to get the mixture hotter to make it more explosive under compression when the engine is cold. Almost any oil based liquid will spontaneously ignite under the right amount of pressure.

The Emergency Fuel is a nice idea but there should be no excuse for running out of fuel anymore. As part of the survival strategy you should always keep 1/2 tank anyways.
