My humble condolences about your Grandmother WD. I can see where something like that would affect your view for sure. So sorry. I hope the perp was caught and punished. I apologize for this being off topic... but WD is one of the most frequent TGO posters... always willing to "share" his knowledge of hunting all game. Good pig hunting to all, regardless the method you choose to use. I'm a big chicken, so I'll be busting some caps, and burning some powder.

I must live in the only part of Tennessee that is not overrun with pigs. Deer? Sure. Turkeys? Got 'em. Coyotes? More than a few. Stray dogs and cats? All over the place. Nary a pig to be seen, though, and it stinks 'cause I have a hankerin' for some bacon :P

Be patient...they're not in middle-TN either (at least my part), but they will be soon. After all, armadillo and coyote aren't native, but we have them...the pigs reproduce much faster than either. If I understand correctly, sows put out piglets at around 6-8 per year, and there aren't any natural predators for them yet.

Lets all move on. When turkey season opens here in April I hope to be out pig hunting with bow. There is a chance that pig hunting won't be allowed in the area we hunt this year. Pig Bomb is coming to an area near you!

Nope but a ten point buck sure can make one turn around in a hurry with a swift kick to the face haha

Well fella's here's the link to give our input to next years hunting regs. I've wrote them a nice, long letter complaining of just such restrictive methods and means of which to hunt feral hogs and coyote's for the last two years. However, one voice will rarely be heard, but an onslaught of concerned sportsmen and citizen's can't be ignored for long.

Please take the time to write them, and voice your concern's on the hog/coyote issue's facing Tennesseans. It can only mean a win, win situation for us all.

Suggestions taken until Feb.24 th 2011.

Thanks...Bearman
