i both love them and they are acid in my eyes.

im a tomboy and cant stand the color pink. I would never by anything pink for myself.

Having said that, I'm glad they make pink guns. I think it's a wonderful idea to get women interested.

I'm with the folks that may not like them for myself, but like the idea that they exist. I'm for almost anything that gets women interested in shooting, it's good for the industry and the pro 2A movement.

As far as them looking like toys...if a bad guy laughs or doesn't take her serious and keeps on coming when my wife pulls a pink gun out of her pink holster in her pink purse...he's getting shot! My only hope is that he survives, so he can tell everyone else in prison that he got shot by a girl with a pink gun, LOL.

Anything to get my wife to carry a gun I am all for it. Her pink 380 will bust some a$$ just like a black one will. As far as kids go, my 4 year old daughter knows that mom's pink gun is off limits just like the rest of our guns.

When my kids were young enough to think a gun of any color might be a toy, I made sure they couldn't get their hands on it. As soon as they were old enough, they each got "schooled" on firearm safety and they STILL couldn't get their hands on them.

Now that they are teens and have made dozens of trips with me to the range and several serious talks about how kids get shot with "unloaded guns" while showing off to their friends, I feel a little more comfortable, but they still can't get their hands on them.

Mine aren't just "hidden" where they "can't find them", they are locked up, so they physically cannot get to them without some serious tools that they don't know how to use, LOL.

I'm not trying to be argumentative about the idea that kids might think they're toys. I just couldn't live with myself knowing I left them a way to get their hands on them when I wasn't around and someone got hurt.

Perfectly Put!

Interesting thread! I have two pink guns....Taurus 24/7 Pro Compact and Taurus TCP. I love them both. I do not really see the big deal of them being pink as long as I can protect myself. Its no different then you guys having a perference over black, stainless, wood...etc! My next toy will be ak47 pink of course. Also for those of you who have ladies that like pink guns and what not...tell them to go check out Packinginpink.com

whatever it takes to get more people shooting. Women, girls, kids, gays, I don't care what they are, I am glad they are buying guns and supporting the sport. I don't like blue pickup trucks, but I know why they sell them.

My daughter loved her pink crickett. She was proud of it and it kept her interested in shooting. That was when she was 5. Now she is 12 and got a pink bow for Christmas. Guess what? She loves shooting it too. Like I said, whatever color it takes to peak an interest in our sport.

I feel meh about it. I can take them or leave them. I think it's great for anyone (women, men, children, anteaters, etc.) who want pink firearms to have one. Most of the time, the firearm manufactures put a gun in pink that they think a woman would like to carry. I've been unimpressed with the marketing ploy. I want it concealable and not stand out. My customers and co-workers who are not comfortable around guns do not need to see my firearm, and I don't want to carry it in my purse. Besides, black never goes out of fashion.
