Yes, it's a nice rifle. It would be hard to do any better.

Orange rail covers? Or perhaps blue since David is in Rutherford County? :D

Heh. No MTSU fans in this house. No Vols fans either. Roll Tide!

Took some pics today. It occurred to me that I likely hadn't posted any since I put the red-dot sight on it and completed the build. Oversight on my part.

I am actually tempted to pull the Eotech off and maybe sell it in favor of putting a low-power magnified optic on it instead. I am running the exact same RDS on my short barrel rifle, and it's a great optic, but this mid-length might be more fun if I could see out there a bit further. Anyway, I digress...

Looks Great. I love my Eotech, but it does kinda limit the rifle. I've thought about stickng a Bobro mount on a magnified optic so I can switch between the two.

Looks great...I got that same Eotech on one of my AR's and so far for the money its unbeatable...i have had the acog's and c-more's but just prefer the eotechs. Like how you did the rail covers, keep up the good work!

Same style setup I went with my AR build, 16" w/ a 12" quad rail & lotsa magpul goodies. Although I am in the sights dilemma as well, I am not sure if I want to throw an eotech or aimpoint on it, or go for a 1-4x optics. I bought a cheap red dot, but something is messed up with it internally (probably just all around being cheap) and it will shift after about 2-3 shots, the mount stays solid though so I know that is not the problem. I should have just foregone wasting the money on it and waited for something better.

If you decide to sell the eotech, let me know :D

If your gonna buy a cheap dot the UTG 38mm tube unit is pretty solid for ~$30.00 The Eotech is really worth the investment however.

Already bought/regret the other cheap red dot. I am going to at least inquire to their customer service and see what they have to say, I may have just gotten a defective unit. We shall see though.

They also have their rails and Mini-14 chassis on sale too 50% off(fwiw)...all I could do not to pull the trigger on the Troy rail for $100!

They shouldn't have sales like this--it's bordering on robbery :)
