These came in the mail yesterday. I think they will match my HCP friendly signs on my entry doors. Cheap and good looking signs.

Cool! Where did you find those? I must have at least four of them.

I've seen these and similar signs and I LOVE them. The only thing is, I feel as if I'd be advertising to all the bad guys that I likely have guns that may be worth steeling!

In other words, my security system signs, my dog, etc. tend to be deterrents to those who would want to break in...these signs seem to be negating that somewhat...perhaps I'm over thinking this???

I had the same thought. Seems a little like advertising... "come steal my guns when I'm not home!"

My wife and I used to hang our best (shot) targets in our garage at home. There were always several silhouettes full of holes taped to the walls. We had some contractors working on our HVAC system. They kept going in and out through the garage to get supplies from their truck. Which prompted an interesting conversation:

Contractor: "Does your husband like to shoot guns?"

Wife: "We both do"

Contractor: "Do you carry a gun?"

Wife: "Yep"

Contractor: "Are you carrying now?"

Wife: "Yep"

Contractor: "Would you shoot me?"

Wife: "Only if you make it necessary"

Contractor: "Well I guess I better make sure I don't make it necessary then"

They were VERY friendly before and after that conversation. I think they were just surprised to see a woman carrying concealed (especially in her own home).
