I don't even know what that is, and am still pretty confident in saying "no". :usa:

Hi Jamie

I don't know what Kentucky Chopsticks are either. Was just trying to guess the purpose and it is the first thing popped into the empty head.

Did you bandsaw rip em, or do it the hard way? Best can tell from the picture, looks like a pretty smooth cut. When I've tried ripping small un-slabbed 'green' branches it was not easy to cut straight. No straight side to run against a saw guide.

Oh, definitely the hard way; with a tired old skill saw, with a dull, wore-out blade, out on the back deck in the freezing cold.

Basically cut the three and a half inch diameter pole into thirds, lengthwise.

The finished product should end up about an inch and a quarter diameter, tapering to 1 inch.

Good job, Jamie. No way could I ever make that straight a cut hand-steering a skilsaw.

You'd have died if you'd seen how I held the thing in place while I cut it; I "C" clamped it to the railing on it's far end, and cut the other as it "floated". :)

The whole log/pole was 6 ft or so, so I only had to cut up about 40 inches to get what I wanted.

Oh, and it took 3 cuts total. 4, counting the cut-off.

Can't get away with that crap with skinny wood though. :D
