Rear Sling Mount for AMD-65

I have an AMD-65 and want to put a sling on it. It came with a front sling mount but no rear sling mount (was there really any logic behind that idea?).

Anyway, I understand this will require some gunsmithing because I don't have enough confidence to go cutting away at my receiver myself. I was wondering if any of yall had any suggestions to do this the most cost effective way possible. Right now I'm playing with the idea of having a rivet taken out and tapped to be able to take an Uncle Mikes QD swivel. I am still very open to other ideas though.

I have been using these forums for research for a while now and it seems like there is plenty of knowledge here so I definitely appreciate any help you guys can provide!

A low budget simble way is to make a small loop of paracord. You remove the pistol grip and loop it around the stud that the pistol grip mounts to. Replace the grip squeezing the paracord between the grip and the frame. Make sure the loop comes out from under the grip to the rear of the gun. If necessary you can notch the back of the grip where it comes out to get everything to seat flat. You attach your sling to this. Quick, easy, cheap and quiet. I have done this on an ak pistol before and assume that it wil work on an AMD-65.

Or you can tie a prusik hitch onto the wire folder and use it as your sling point.

That second method and AMD are still working great for me. :D
