Shotgun Carry Law?

Did a search and couldn't find much on carrying a loaded shotgun in a car?

Does anybody know if this passed? I have been searching for something about it and found this.

If you have a HCP, you may carry a long gun (shotgun or rifle) in your vehicle with ammunition in the magazine, but not the chamber.

If you do not have your HCP, you are not allowed to have a long gun with ammunition in the magazine unless at the range, while hunting, or on your property.

Haha yea but I really don't know how much I trust most of the people on that site. So i could carry my shotgun with a round not chambered and my AR on my front seat with a magazine in it?

Yup. As long as you have a carry permit, and a round is not chambered.

While it may be legal, do not expect most Law Enforcement to know it. Prudent behaviour would be to keep your firearms out of sight in your vehicle. I suspect you would not appreciate having the police freak out about some dude (you) driving around with a "loaded assault rifle" next to him on the seat.

Most of the ones in the gun section arent too bad. As has been said though dont get all Rambo about it. Just because it would be legal doesnt mean it would always be prudent.
