sometimes I wonder how certain members have been banned in the past but Strel gets to stick around. I am CONVINCED that he is only allowed to stay because David enjoys a good laugh from him

It would seem, therefore, that it's not as much about demographics as it is about geography. As in where your head's at.

And again!

The coaches used the paddle for everything. Don't have your jock, (even if it wasn't your fault)? You got the paddle. Not fast enough? You got the paddle. Someone else do something to you that neither you nor the coach liked? You both got the paddle. To this day I'd like to punch them in the mouth.

As a policeman I could tell who the "Time-out Kids" were from the ones who were raised with spankings. The "Time-out Kids" were always surprised by the severity of the situation and the punishment meted out.

That's a little different. If you're the sort that needed to be thumped on the head (and I was), I think it's better to get it over with early. I never had to tangle with any cops.

No thanks, Strel... I'm not interested. You might swing that way but I don't. :D

I applaud the uncles actions. If real gang members read the kids post they might have retaliated against him or his family. If more adults cared as much for the kids in their life as this uncle did then we would not have a gang problem.

Plus, the kid needs to be put in his place. The uncle was clearly "tougher" but could dole out that lesson with minor consequences. If the street hands out the same lesson about "who's tougher" then the kid might not live through it.

I have a couple of cousins that started running with a bad crowd and nobody kicked their azz when they should have. One is in jail and the other got shot. I wish I could go back in time and try this uncles method. Might have saved them.

OMG...has this thread delivered...from Strel being of eastern european decent , to Steve and the paddle...and yes "time out kids" are clueless...mine were subject to the TIME OUT...but now as they're older they've come to see the wisdom of dads discipline as apposed to moms free range approach...now to take us back to Jamie's video submission...what's the tag line?....HAPPY TIME...
