That's a nice pistol!! I have been doing some looking at the ATIs and Para's and I'm still undecided!! It's hard picking out JUST ONE!! :)...Also a question with the beaver tail safety that's the only safety correct? Once you hold the gun and depress the safety you just pull the trigger?

There is also a thumb safety in the usual spot - you can see it in the pic just to the left of the hammer. On the Titan it's pretty low-profile and nicely rounded for carry, but easy to flip on/off. You could carry with it off, but I doubt I would.

So theres still another safety on the gun other than the beavertail? Is this true with all 1911s?

Yes.. With a single action 1911 the trigger pull is light (4lbs) so to carry with a round in the chamber and hammer cocked it is essential to have the thumb safety engaged. The grip safety is more of a backup than a first line safety. Also in some models there is a firing pin block that prevents the firing pin from moving if the gun is dropped. This is disengaged with the grip safety. But that's not on all 1911s

The thumb safety locks the sear against the hammer preventing the sear from moving and the hammer from falling if the gun is dropped. The grip safety only prevents the trigger from being pulled and because it doesn't interact with the sear at all the sear may be bumped off the hammer even if the grip safety isn't depressed. If carrying cocked the thumb safety is the safest way to carry.
