Tyrek Evans played his one year of NCAA ball for the Memphis Tigers, and he was available when the Memphis Grizzles turn came during the NBA draft, and they passed on him. A lot of us here in Memphis was hoping he could play for the Grizzlies.

I believe that goes down as a record for the longest shot to be made in a game that won the game. Either Bill Walton or Jerry West made one on the half court line.

Grizz should have drafted Tyrek. Instead the idiot owner Michael Heisley demanded they go with the "project" Hasheem Thabeet. He is being shopped around now for trade. Good luck Michael.
