I'm probably overly picky, but I have a long list of things I do/don't do. Face the door, sit on the outside, half car space at stop lights with clear exit unless completely impossible, won't use a drive up ATM where I can be boxed in, etc.

you know you make some valid points to ponder. Guess I never considered the half car space or use of drive up tellers. After the local killing at a local CU drive up, I have yet to use one. Very good points.....

Yep, I do it. I also stop with enough room to get out just in case. I usually try to stay out of the interior lane, so that if need be, I can go around our get out of the way.

To many Americans have this problem. I think it leads to sheepism

Sheepism

The act of being a mindless sheep, following the herd.

If you don't think for yourself, you are giving into Sheepism.

Are you being serious with this?

No, just trying to make a joke, guess it didn't go over as well as I had thought. Well not the way I posted it anyways. However allot of people, not here have sheepism.

Been wanting to work sheepism into a post for a few days, I dropped this one and went to a movie.

JOKE - something said or done to provoke laughter; a brief narrative with a humorous climax

I thought it was funny.......

I agree, GF is nice enough to give me the seat facing the door and preferably a window seat so I can keep an eye on the car. Also leave space when stopped at a light and try to always have an escape when driving. I also sleep on the side closest to the door. I have done these things for years and are just habit now.

I usually check the closets and bathrooms when I get home, but that's because of the movie "Strangers"......man I hate that stupid movie. ;(

I got the ATM thing from my wife. Her bank had dividers on all sides at one time and she would not use it because she could be boxed in. If she did she had her gun in her hand at low ready.

I face the door when I can. When dining in a multi-room establishment I like to view the largest portion of a room. I sleep close to the door.

When walking along or crossing a street, I try to keep myself betweeen the traffic and my wife. She has commented that I do some strange things to protect her a few times. To me watching out for her is just habit I guess.
