I didn't want to hi-jack dralarms thread so I made a new one.

I lost my mom a week before Christmas. She had copd and was on oxygen for years. She fell breaking bones and hitting her head and couldn't recover.

The bad thing about all this is I saw her in the hospital and had to leave to pick up my boys at the airport. They were flying in from my ex in California for Christmas. They had been gone for about 4 monthes. On the drive back from the airport she had passed. So myself or the boys weren't there. AND because of an airline screwup, the boys got here a day later than planned.

I did send a nasty e-mail to the airline and did get a $500. voucher for another flight.

BTW for anyone that is familiar with Roy's Record Shop in Maryville. That was my mom that passed.

My thoughts and prayers for you and your family. I'm so sorry for you. It seems that so many of us lost a parent this year. I'll be thinking about all of us tonight.

The losing a parent club sucks.....bad. You just got to stay strong and keep your head up. You're not alone.

Very sorry for your loss and the mix up causing your kids and you to miss a last visit. My best to you and your family for your loss and praying time will quickly ease the pain.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss...losing a parent at any time is bad enough; to have it happen just before Christmas just makes it that much more difficult. Good thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
