I have a Long Action Ruger M77 Mark II in 257 Roberts. I would greatly appreciate anyone that has experience with this cartridge to suggest some loads that have worked well for them. Since the rifle is built on a long action I am not hindered by magazine length(plenty of room) Please let me know what powder bullet and primer you have used to get good accuracy i am willing to sacrifice a little velocity for better than average accuracy because i am planning on using it for deer and coyotes.

Thank You

Conrad

I use IMR 3031 powder and various 100 grain bullets with good results. Between my sons and myself, we have 3 rifles chambered for 257 Roberts, and none of them seen to be very finiky. I will suggest that when you find some brass for it, buy a lifetime supply, because it isn't just anywhere.
