Ka-Bar TDI any good & is it legal to carry?!?

I have been looking at this knife for a while. Seems like a good "Please remove yourself from me if you don't mind." kinda knife. :D

Ka-Bar TDI

The blade is only 2 5/16" long, so it does fall under the 4" rule... but I was wondering if it would still be considered a concealed weapon if carried like it is designed. On your belt, a shirt hanging over it. Etc.

Also, does anyone own one and how do you like it?

What possible weapons statute would ban it?

It's a legal length, non-switchblade knife. Carry it pirate style between your teeth if you like.

That's my prefered method of knife carry.

And luckily... the one that looks best on me! :)

Wasn't sure since it is a fixed blade knife if that made any difference. Not really up

on my knife laws.

There aren't but three TN ones: length limit, switchblades, and basically no knives period on school property.

Federal law says no knives 2.5" or longer in federal buildings. Obviously generally ignored both from citizens and government.

I have one as well. Razor sharp. I don't care too much for the holster it comes with though.

Not me personally, but my good buddy is a U.S Air Marshall and he carries one. He loves it for tactical defense.

Besides the slash assailant's wrist thing, it's attractive regards general defense 'cause you can death grip it in fist and punch with it. No hifalutin technique required.

There is very little outside your fist to lever the knife out of your hand. What is outside your fist is sharp and pointy. It's very effective.

I've done some more reading on it and I'm going to order it tomorrow. :)

I think it will do everything I want it to do.

I carry one. The sheath they come with sucks. I carry it in a sheath made by a guy named Dave Pyle . His site is Kydex Sheaths . He makes exellent stuff. He also makes sheaths for the "trainer" version so you can actually roll around with someone and work on accessing the knife under pressure.

I've been looking at that orange trainer as well. Your opinion on the sheath seems to shared by a lot of people. Thanks for the link, I'll check them out.
