This is my first homemade holster for my friends Heritage arms rough rider for Christmas. I made my own pattern for it, I think it came out pretty good.

The HRR is a single action. Exposed trigger is not only no big deal, IMO, but actually seems to be the standard style in holsters for single action revolvers.

Looks good, joejodus. Kind of a 'slim-jim' style - basic yet functional and nice-looking.

Looks pretty good; especially for a first attempt. An ajustable groover and a stitch marking wheel would help make the stiching more professional.

Only thing I see that needs some work is to take some sandpaper and smooth out the the edges and make the curves less "notchy", then edge coat them. Common old acrylic paint that you can get at walmart will do the job.

Other than that, it looks just fine. Holsters made back in that gun's day, if it were an original, weren't always as "professional" as they are now, so being a bit rough only fits, not detracts.
