Oddly enough, I'm thinking of shooting some as well.

I've got numerous new toys I've been neglecting, as well as some EDC's that need exercising.

I imagine I will have to recover some from the night before. I like to get smashed! If of course by smashed, one means play XBox with my 4- and 8-year-old and eat Cheetos and Coke Zero until 12:00.01

That's when I pass out from Zero Toxicitiy.

As a former safety person at a transportation company, I will not be wandering out that night. Too many people who usually do not drink, partaking, and wrongly thinking driving while tipsy is not driving drunk...

I will be home, asleep in my bed, hoping the drunks of the night do not take out my mailbox, like the drunk of a few weeks past...

Well I'll be going in Friday morning at 0630 and won't be getting off until 0200 on Saturday. They've got us on a saturation looking for drunk drivers. And this ain't just my department folks, it's statewide thanks to the Governor's Highway Safety Office.

Please don't drink and drive! It ruins lives. The worst outcome aside (killing / hurting yourself or someone else), the average cost of a DUI conviction is anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000*. That's a lot of guns and ammo folks! Please don't do it and suggest the same to your friends!

*Before someone starts throwing a fit and quoting fines - that number includes everything from attorneys fees and fines to increased insurance rates and most everything in between.

Hopefully it will be warm enough to shoot that day or sometime soon anyway.

It is usually colder up on the mountain at Prentice Cooper than down in the valley. A couple of times I've gone up there expecting it to be reasonably temperate (judging from valley temperature) and got rudely surprised.

Staying home for new years eve as usual. I played new years music gigs for decades that going out would remind too much of working. It is pretty easy to get burned out on intoxicated people.

It is virtually certain we will eat blackeyed peas and ham for new years day.

The wife and I have baby sitting duty for the grandkids. They range from 7 years to 2 months, that is all the danger I need. I will slide out to the reloading building when the squeals get to much for Papa, otherwise, we will chase each other around the house and have a large time!

An early evening at home, have to get up for our rifle match in the morning.

Same for me. Bonfire with some friends and the match in the morning.

Working NYE night and NYD night, so nothing crazy.

My wife has been pestering me for years to "do something" on NYE besides sitting at home, which I prefer. I guess I got it all out of my system when I was younger.:)

Anyway, I bought Zanies tickets to see Tim Wilson! I was stoked, but then she didn't wanna go. I wound up giving the tickets away ($66). :wall:

Never again!

Getting drunk as I can, then driving through Bartlett, TN as fast as I can out running the cops...You can't catch me coppers!!!!!:wall::D:p;):taunt::taunt::cop::):drunk:

Seriously, nothing really, got work I need to do during the day, trying to stay up until midnight with the kids, wake the wife up when new years hits, drinking some of my 10yr old Charter. Maybe order in something.

We have a party on Saturday that we will go to to watch some football.

If you didn't understand by all the smilies, the first sentence was a joke, aimed at KB, and I will NOT be doing that.:D

I know a Bartlett cop that will handcuff your ass to a stop sign until you sober up. Just better hope he's not drinking too. He may forget where he left you. :D
