There is a laet.org website, but it seems down today. Dunno if that is unusual or routine.

Looks like LAET is a new incarnation, but they have had pro bono legal services under the generic name "Legal Aid" since at least the early 1970's when I became aware of it.

They were typically real busy long ago, with too many clients and not enough time. Just call to see if they ever do divorce work.

If the guy was father of any of the children, Tn Dept of Human Services has lawyers that will get involved (primarily to collect cash from the dude and amortize welfare costs). But I don't know if Human Services would pay their lawyers to do anything except hound the guy for money. They always have too many clients and not enough time too.
