BTW: New Favorite Xmas Movie “Polar Express†ancient by today’s standards but if there are any more among us (especially w kiddies) that have not watched this story…..Do so..

Yes, that's a good one.

One of the movies we ( The wife and I ) watched was The Rocky Horror Picture Show... I had seen it years ago, and her, not at all. Figured we can dedicate that one to the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" thread. ;)

It was certainly good for a laugh, even though it's not a Christmas flick. :D

Anyway, I'm certain many wouldn't approve of how we've gone about Christmas here, but it works for us.

Yep, We do that sort of thing from time to time, Grilled Steak and baked potatos ,corn and such for Thanksgiving,

Never Did the Rocky Horror for the family xmas flick, (seen of course),Mom's in charge an all u know, might could

Get away with "The life of Brian" if we were slightly elusive about the script, once it started she'd be rolling and the show would go on.

Breaking from convention and and social norms is healthy for the intelect and opens the mind i say:up:;).

The best gift I got was seeing the look on my 5 yo sons face when he came in our bedroom and saw the snow in the trees.

I faintly remember mentioning while watching the walking dead that I would like to get a crossbow for when the zombies come. My wife apparently remembered that comment so I got this today.

Oh and our cat loves to play with knives, guns and apparently crossbows now. I don't know where she gets it from. ;)

You know, under the right circumstances/conditions, that crossbow could become.... a CATapult... :D

Didn't get a whole lot of material stuff. Couple of decent gift cards. But I got some good time with the family, some good eatin' and got to spread some cheer to the wife and kid. Doesn't get much better!

Oh, and I got a good bit of back pain working on Santa's gift until about 2am. Apparently, "Some Assembly Required" is some kind of marketing term that really means "here's a pine tree and some ******* screws". ;)

:D

Got some DVDs, some 360 games, new coffee maker, gift cards, etc.

Best thing though was actually really enjoying Christmas for the first time in several years. Watching my niece run around and the look on her face when she saw the bike we got her was pretty cool. Almost makes me want my own kid...

Lets see I got a new pair of Justin work boots(needed really bad),a book"Dead or Alive",a wallet w/25bucks. Got a fifth of Fourty Creek pretty good stuff, and 500 rds. of 9x18 for my CZ 82 that I bought for myself with the new C&R Licence that came Mon. week. Pretty good Christmas I think.

Wife and I each got new S&W 649's with holsters. Now the wife is a street legal (HCP) and gun toting grandmother.

Gotta watch out for those gun toting grandmothers!

I got the gift of spending the entire weekend with my niece. No other gifts were exchanged this year (except for her).

We got about 6 inches of snow on Saturday. She had more fun playing in it and in my sheet fort then with any of santa's presents. Go figure :) :)

I think this was the best Christmas I've ever had

My youngest daughter and my wife are both sick with that crud going around. But thank God I have the means to take care of them. We had big fun Christmas Eve. Oh and I did get a new Saiga and a new knife.

I didn't really get anything from a store for christmas (the wife and I didn't buy for each other). I did get a present last night when we got home at 11:30pm :). I didn't know a single red ribbon and bow could cover so much :). The kids got some cheap NVGs I cant wait to play with those! They both got several Nerf GUN! Those are always lots of fun!!

I got myself an old (new to me) Sig P226, the wife and I got a handful of gift cards (which she has in her purse somewhere) and my parents got me a new Craftsman belt driven garage doog opener. They said the one I have is too noisy and it annoys my mom when she's down visiting.

In keeping with the "it's better to give than receive" motif--I gave this to my wife:

Other than that, had a great holiday this year watching the kids play and the snow fall. And feeling grateful to those who have served to make it possible.

Happy Holidays.

We do a name exchange with my wife's family. The mother-in-law drew my name. Sucks right? Nah, best MIL ever. I got every item on my Midway USA wishlist. Mostly reloading stuff.... powder thrower, loading trays, storage boxes, case reamer, primer pocket brushes, etc.

I'm going with "Best Christmas ever". My little girl will be 2 in January. Watching her Christmas morning was the most fun I've had on Christmas morning since I was 8! She's the only grand-daughter and niece too, so Sunday with the wife's family was lots of fun. We still have a good 4-5 inches of snow here in south Blount Co. today, so we're going sledding!

Merry Christmas everyone!
