Not sure it's specifically done by Catholics, but it is common for people to do it.

Well, one thing's for certain... anybody who makes a habit of it sure shows the fallacy of that old saying "You can't take it with you", don't they? :down:

I guess that next year, I'll need to make sure Bella gets a bite of chicken then, since that was her favorite food...

For me, somebody better send me off with a pack of cigarettes, at least. A bottle of bourbon would be nice too.

I have specific instructions about what goes with me and what goes to whom. It will change over the years, but I want a bottle of Jameson and a good cigar for sure!

Well my dad got sent off with some Old Charter, some smokes, and fishing lures! I'm Catholic, he was Church of Christ!
