Owl Hollow Gun Club Closed Until Furter Notice

I just came back from Owl Hollow. I was there for the Orientation class that was sopposed to have happened, but when I got there, the President informed us that the owner is ending the lease at the end of this month. They did not have anymore info other than that. I will update when I get more info.

I just spent $50 for an annual membership and haven't had a chance to use it. I better be getting a refund.

I can not even use the range at all. Now I have to find somewhere else to shoot.

Thanks for the notice. My father usually keeps a membership up there but we havent been out there yet this year. Ill let him know not to send in a check this year if he has not already.

They added a new policy this year requiring members to attend a safety session before you could aquire a membership.

I am a member as well and this is really sad to hear. Especially since they were in the middle of making more improvements.

You had to attend a safety course even if you were previously a member? Wow, that is pretty intense.

Even some of the long time members don't follow the rules.

If you had ever visited the range, you'd understand why. I hate muzzles swung in my general direction, but that was just another day at Owl Hollow Gun Club.

I just received an email stating that Owl Hollow is going to remain open for 2008. The board met with the owner and assured him that his concerns would be met.

I generally have avoided the pistol ranges when I have been there so I cant speak in regards to that, but I have never really had any problems at the rifle portion of the range. But, I have heard that same complaint from other people about being muzzle swept down there.
