Least over penetrating round for home defense

If I hit the mook, I want a thru-and-thru.

I don't. I want the bullet to expend ALL it's energy tearing up my intended target. If it keeps going after it encounters that target, then it obviously didn't do what it was supposed to.

Maybe you aren't aware of the fact that hollow point bullets are an attempt to do just that - get the round to dump it's energy where it needs to, rather than just keep on going and hitting something else... sort of like what ball ammunition is apt to do.

And don't point to hunters who go after big game. They have an entirely different challenge than a person does in home/self defense. They have to get through very heavy bone and muscle to even get to something important in the first place. So a lot of power and solid, heavily constructed bullets are the order of the day.

Sorry, BungieCord, but you really need to do your homework on this stuff. Because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.
