It's funny how this always happens. I go into the store today to pick up a glock, and I came out with an XD subcompact. There were many reasons for my last minute change. Price, extras, feel, and size. These four factors changed my mind instantly.

-I only paid 450

-I will be getting 3 free mags and an ammo pouch for free. Click here for the promo

-It feels better in my hand. The glock "felt small" and fragile in my opinion, while the XD feels more durable and more like a regular handgun instead of a small pocket type gun.

- The safety features are nice too, like the grip safety and firing pin status, but the reason really came down to the feel.

I wanted a glock, because I read that they were great and my friends' fired nicely, but when I compared it to the XD sub, there was no comparision. The XD took the cake.

I guess now I am going to sell my S&W sigma .40 because I don't need it anymore. Hopefully I can do that soon. Here's some pics of the new XD

Here's a size comparison between my sigma and the new XD

FYI if you click on the small pics, they'll get bigger

I'm curious to see how long Springfield takes to ship the free stuff. 6-8 weeks is forever.

I just picked mine up on Friday night, love this gun! Traded one my two S&W J frame 642's and $150 out the door with a free box of PMC's (at least it's something in the mag for now). I thought it was a great deal anyway.

very wise choice.....someday the springfield xd40sc will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.....as for the extra mags and stuff, be patient, the pistol should have come with two mags anyway so lets just hope you don't need more loaded mags at your finger tips than that!
