Remington.

More experience and confidence in the product.

Remington...familiar with their products, been using them at work now for the last 5 years. I know it's not the same as the Rem 700 but quality can't be far off. I've never worked with the Savage trigger system so to me different is well...different.

What if you only kill paper enemies with your rifles?

Then I would advise you to try hunting or join the military because as everyone knows....guns are for killing and gun owners are blood thirsty animals themselves :).

I voted for the Remington model 7 predator. I would, however, prefer the wood stocked version of the model 7. The CDL I think they call it. They are pretty rifles, and they are very light and petite. I can't say any of that about the Savage. It is big, bulky, and quite ungainly in appearance. It will most likely be the better shooter of the two, however.

That's what swayed my pick. They're varmint rifles, so accuracy had lots of weight.
