Why do your do your own reloading?

I've yet to hear a shooter who also reloads say it's not worth it or that they don't enjoy it. I'm sure someone out there feels like that, but I haven't met 'em yet.

I've even had company over who saw me reloading and asked to try it. Most think it's fun and gratifying. They all get the dime tour of how the equipment works and the gotchas. Some ask more questions and end up getting the dollar tour and still want to learn more.

There's just a mystique about reloading that intrigues veterans and newbies alike. In fact, 2 people who wanted to try and enjoyed it have never shot a gun. They want to REAL bad now. I promised to oblige.

Just getting into reloading myself. The cost factor to me was just to convince myself that I was not wasting money. For me it looks like I can pay for all of the equipment with my .223 and 9mm ammo savings over the next year or two. So over the long run I may actually save a bit of money. But the real reason I go into this is the added interest/enjoyment/relaxation associated with figuring out optimal loads and being able to do some work with my hands (I work on a computer all day long.)

because i have a 577 nitro loaded amma is about 65.00 per roung .with a cast bullet i can load that same round with my brass for about 1.50

I started reloading because I was spending to much money shooting it up in the back yard, reloading slows me down a little and I like watching TV and reloading. My wife actually let me build a work table in the living room. ( it is supposed to be temporary) LOL

It does let her keep an eye on you . . .
