Tomato Head in Maryville

Recommended Posts

I went to the Tomato Head in Maryville this weekend and noticed (after I got in) that there was a noticed in the corner of the room. It had all the legal jumbo about Tennessee code and that it was against the law. My question is that it was sitting in the corner of the window facing toward the back. How would I know it is illegal until I am in the room. We had been seated and I was facing the road when I noticed the sign. I guess I would still get in trouble for having my weapon?????

If someone called you might be asked to leave and the manager might be asked to put the sign where it is noticeable if they want it enforced.

But its mere speculation on anyone’s part here since there hasn’t been a verifiable case of anyone being cited for this yet on this forum.

I don’t look hard for signs.

I don't look hard for signs either, but after a trip to babies'r us it made me think differently. They have a sign about 8.5x11 with a bunch of writing on it, and across the bottom they have about 5 different things with the red circle and line through it. Pretty much a "these are prohibited" sign, and one of them was a handgun. The kicker is these pictures were only about 1 inch by 1.....if I hadn't stopped to look through it carefully I would have walked on in carrying.

I wish the law would state at least a minimum size requirement to go along with the fact that it has to be posted at all customer entrances, because a 1inch square gunbuster sign on a door with 15 other pieces of paper is ridiculous.

+1. Happened to me at PF Changs in Cool Springs yesterday. Looked when I went in but didn't see anything. As I was leaving the mens room after lunch, noticed a sign (with old TCA code) on the entrance from the patio and thought "Oh crap!" Sure enough, centered on the 4'-0" wide +/- window to the left of the main entrance left door is a 2" round brass colored ghost buster sign. Not only was the size cause for missing it but the color kind of blended in. Bummer, I loved Changs........
