Marlin XL7, whos got one??

I was wunder'n if anyone had one of the Marlin bolt guns and whats your thoughts on it so far ??

I don't have one, but a friend does and loves that thng. Actually his is a XS7 in .308. He said it handles great and he's killed a couple deer with it already.

I'll find out tomarrw how they shoot, I bought one but just havent made time to tinker with it. Most of the info I've picked thru has been very posative, most are good shooters for the money, I hope its true.

I've got an xl7 in 30.06. Great bang for the buck.

Let us know how it shoots Appalachian. I have been looking for an entry level rifle, my first, and this is the one I think I have settled on, in .308.
