Sig Sauer P290

Has anyone seen or shot a Sig P290? What are your thoughts?

A guy at my work does some stuff for this rural county's LE, and had to go to some training thing with the department. Apparently sig was at this event and they were showing off the 290, so he got to hold it. He said he personally didn't like how it felt and thought it was too small. Time will tell though, I hate 380 auto because of the price for ammo so I would be all over a 9mm pocket rocket if the price is right.

I actually like the feel of the P250, and the P290 looks very similar. I have wanted a Rohrbaugh since I first saw one, so this would be a nice pocket-9mm. I'd like to see one and handle it first, but assuming the thing feels ok, I'd buy one. Well, also assuming a reasonable price.

When G&L had their Hendersonville grand opening, I asked the Sig rep when we'd be seeing these. I was told they'll be available around August, so figure sometime between June and 2012.

I'm kind of interested, too. I wouldn't mind having a small 9mm that I could easily slip into a pocket that's not a Kel-Tec.
