Mike Gravel, 80%

What I thought was interesting was the rankings of candidates based on this test:

Gravel - 14.51%

Giuliani - 11.72%

Huckabee - 10.86%

Kucinich - 9.48%

Romney - 8.86%

Cox - 7.72%

Biden - 7.33%

Clinton - 4.32%

Obama - 4.04%

Dodd - 3.97%

Hunter - 3.97%

Tancredo - 2.55%

Tommy Thompson - 2.26%

Fred Thompson - 2.20%

Paul - 2.01%

Richardson - 1.54%

Edwards - 1.22%

Brownback - 1.05%

Mccain -0.39%

If the 2 million+ people who have taken this test are anywhere near representative of the country as a whole, most of us have been clearly voting for/supporting the wrong person. Of course it is unlikely that the sample is representative or in any way controlled. The current top Dems are in the middle of the pack and the current top ® is dead last, with his chief opponent sitting at #5.

Weird. Huckabee (who I personally like, but he won't win) was first for me at 88.57%, but tied with Mitt Romney with 88.57% as well. Mccain 3rd at 71.43%.

The last two are Barack at 28.57% and Gravel at 20.00%

Nate,

So if McCain wins the nod - will you vote for Ron Paul or another independent that has 0 chance of winning just to snub your nose?

This is the reason that King Willie Herenton is in office in the first place in Memphis. A 3rd party candidate with no chance of winning got the young peoples vote because they didn't want to vote for "the man." Now things here suck beyond all get out and there is no real chance of them getting better. If the rest of the state were smart, they would force Memphis to secede from the state.

Not a chance of Paul either. I don't vote 3rd party or democrat, no matter how they try to hide.

BTW I spent 15 yrs. in Memphis and was there in the middle of the Herenton assent to the "throne", even if it was by the dead vote and most corrupt political system in the South. He will remain because Memphis is that ignorant, as a whole. Learn to love it, or move to Southaven.:P

We are only staying in this part of the state (or this state for that matter) until my wife's grandmother moves in with us or passes away. She won't leave her home and comfort zone though.

Huck, 80%.

Regarding Memphis and its plethora of issues-- It's not the main reason I'm enlisting by any means (though it might be top 5) but relocation is one of the perks offered by the U.S. military.

I CANNOT WAIT to leave, even if I don't live in Memphis proper.
