Del Ton Ar parts. Good or Junk

There are more than a few people who have thousads of rounds of Wolf through their guns without cleaning them. I don't care what kind of ammo it is if your AR can't make it 200 rounds something is seriously wrong. If it cycles on the first round then it should be good for a lot more than 200.

There are plenty of examples of people getting thousands or rounds through their guns without taking the gun apart to even wipe anything down. I have personally done it but not the numbers some others are reporting.

Here is just one, not me but an example from another site.

WOW!!!! Thank you very much fellers! I have a Bushmaster lower ,(with bushmaster parts) Magpul stock and grip. So far it has been a budget build. Delton offers a 16in chrome lined 1 n 9. with chrome BCG and a YHM quad rail and YHM low profile gas block for around 600ish. Of course that is double what I have in the lower. But I have been told to look for the chrome lined and chrome BCG. So is it worth it? I think it is everything That i have been told to look for for fairly cheap. Thanks again for all of your input.

My opinion of DelTon is it is a brand to have if you just want to own an AR-15. They aren't the best but they are certianly not the worst. How they are being marketed as a patrol carbine in the gun magazines I have no idea? There are better grade materials available for not much money. "Buy once, cry once" is what I live by when buying high ticket items. Why go cheap with something you might stake your life on?

Now my contradictory arguement. You may not need the best AR-15. If you don't hunt or compete in competition, you may not need an ultra reliable AR-15. It may break or jam and do nothing but cut a range trip short. But know this. There is a MAJOR difference in commercial, milspec and Mil-Spec* AR-15 parts.
