Big poppa just because some comments are posted on a web sight does not make it true.

The man is as close to democrat as you can get. His actions on immigration alone turned me off. Kodos for his performance as a POW, But the guy changes directions based on the political wind. You have a right to vote for him as I have the right not to.

Are your feelings hurt that someone doesn't like McCain?

Of course not. He wasn't even my first choice. Is he the perfect candidate ? No, but there's not one of those out there, so we pick from among who we're given. But he is a damn sight better than Hillary or Obama, and I certainly don't want either one of those to be sworn in a year from now. If you guys do......hope that works out for you.

I'm not voting for him and I know exactly why and I don't have to show you squat for it.

I said this earlier....here's my post...

If nothing else, just say "I don't like the guy and I'm not gonna vote for him...don't know why, don't know that much about him, just a gut feeling".

You have a right to vote for him as I have the right not to.

Couldn't agree more. But that wasn't the thrust of my original and subsequent posts. My point was you DON'T have the RIGHT to call somebody a liar and an SOB and then run away from your comments without giving any

justification or facts to back them up.

Nobody yet has put up any figures, votes, or specifics about why they won't support him, just generalities and vague comments.

The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 and the failed "immigration reform" attempt in 2006 would each be enough for me. And his pandering to leftists on assorted other issues (the "gun show loophole") doesn't help any.

Given the lay of the land that makes McCain pretty pro-gun. I'd certainly put him up against Hillary or Obama.

B)

+1 on that, enough said for me.

A person would have to be both shallow and dense if they would

base their vote on a media photograph. Are people really that stupid?

They're probably the same people who would throw their vote away

on a goof like Ron Paul, and then b1tch and moan if Hillary ends up

winning White House. Apparently, common sense isn't.

Shallow, dense.... stupid... thank you Mr. Congeniality.

I said in the title, that I do not want to vote for McCain, not that I wouldn't. I thought it was a humorous photo that encapsulated my belief that he is too close to many on the left, and based on his track history of policies and votes, he is little better than many hardcore liberals (read socialists) on core issues... Freedom of Speech and immigration for starters.

But hey, don't let that get in the way of a good insult. B)

I'm like about everyone else. I don't care for any of the candidates. But realistically, it's going to get down to McCain or Romney. That's an easy choice for me.

And I'll be glad to hold my nose and vote against either of the Democrats.

I agree... the last thing I want is a Democratic president to go with Congress...

Sorry. I guess I'm just not a fan of vitreous humor, huh, Hyaloid?

I heard a good way to look at all this.

A guy on the radio said something to the effect of "Clinton or Obama as president will run the country into the ground at 100 mph, McCain as president will only do it at 50 mph."

I did not vote for McCain in the primary but I will vote for him in the general election if he is the candidate.

If the candidate is Romney I think i would rather have Obama. Obama will divide people so bad nothing will get done either way anyhow.

I wonder who VP's might be?

Good way to look at it Mike. The mileage thing, I mean.

But I've also been wondering who the VP might be. Wonder if Cheney is still available? :D

I think Fred Thompson would make an excellent VP candidate.

I'd say that would be an excellent choice.

And on the Democrat side...Bill Clinton could always run....

I second that!
