Paint-On Lume

Anyone know the best luminescent paint to use? I've got a blade sight on the front of my 870 with a tritium-dot but I'd like the whole blade to be more visible in low light. Any suggestions?

Glow in the Dark

This is what I use.

The paint works well.

Get the powder and 2-ton slow cure epoxy, mix it your self, add powder mix, place where you want, let it cure for few hours then harden after 24hrs. Glows real bright.

This is what I have done for a few firearms. I also use the same method with titanium dioxide, the whitest substance known to man, with great success. The epoxy will not wear off or chip like paint. If you can charge it the sight will be a lot brighter than tritium. If you can't then it is basically useless. When I have to grab my gun in the middle of the night I charge it when I grab my flashlight.

I've got everything you would need to do it if you want to get together. I live about 20 miles east of Knoxville.

After reading this post, I decided to order a small bottle from Glow Inc. I ordered the Ultra Green V10. This stuff is great! I put it on my SR9 and my Cougar and it works really well. I was surprised at how bright it was and how long it glows. I held the bottle up to a flourecent light and put on my shelf and the bottle was still glowing almost 30 hours later. I charge the sights before bed and keep a small L.E.D. keychain light with my pistols in case I need to charge the sights without drawing attention. I'm really pleased with the results.
