No offense, but the $20 tomahawk I got from Atlanta Cutlery a whole lot'a years ago will do the same thing, plus leave me money for another gun and/or ammo...

Sorry, but even though those things are nice looking hatchets... they're still just hatchets. ;)

Concur........However, if things go south in certain situations, or if there is a place you are caught w/o gun/ammo, I will take that Eagle Talon anyday........I would agree with you completley until I was able to see one for the first time and then bought mine. There is a big reason our Troops carry them in conflict...If anyone else in SE TN wants to try and take a field trip to see their operation after the first of the year let me know.....I do not know Ryan, but I know there are those on this forum that do and I would enjoy shaking his hand for what he does.

Ducky, I've got plenty of cutlery... knives, BIG knives, tomahawks... even a sword or two. More than enough to get by with if the ammo runs out. So unless those things get one helluva lot cheaper, there just won't be one in my future.

But more power to anybody who wants and can afford one. ;)

Agreed....But like I said, when I was able to get mine back around 2002/3, they were not that expensive...I was even able to have Psalm 23 imprinted on the holster for it...........

I never meant to turn this into a $$$ deal.......I just have one and from a design/durabilty standpoint, I have never seen anything to its equal......and for the record, I also have pleanty of knives, axes etc...especially my favorite which was givien to me from a Pacific WWII Marine Vet when I was younger....The original canvas case, sharpening stone and two small books on the care and how to kill the enemy.......It holds a special place for me because of who carried it and thus, gave it to me, but when you hold them both, no comparison.......

Again, was not trying to start anything about $$$$.....dhESQ

I understand. However, these days, when you're talking about something as basic and simple as a tomahawk, it very quickly becomes an issue of $$$$. Especially when you add those kinds of price tags. :-\

Agreed, but by that same standard some folk can turn a firearm into tens of thousands of those $$$ (most of which I would not own)...and I go on the record apologizing to the hardcore trap/skeet folks on here........which again is my point.....you spend yo dimes on what you be done wantin'.....

I was reading that very page last night. :)

I don't read many books. However I did recently get my hands on that. I read 25 pages on the first day, which for me was allot. Then I laid it down, went hunting. After a week of hunting I read the last 222 pages in one day which was probably a record for me. In fact I know I have never read that much in one day.

I am going to read the 2 follow up books. Maybe, just maybe they will get me into reading again.
