Speer Gold Dot's

So i'm thinking about watching for some HP's at the show saturday. I have yet to buy any HP's yet, but I am wanting to get some to keep for my M&P9c for home defense(and eventually when I get my HCP). I plan on buying probably 2-3 boxes, 1-2 to "test" and the 3rd to keep. The Gold Dot's seem to be widely used and well liked, so I figure those should be fine for my needs. Anyways, Like I said, I have never bought any HP's before, so I was just wondering what a "good" price on these are?

Also, I know this is asked a ton, bu I noticed their site lists 4 different loads for these....which do most of you prefer? 115gn, 124gn, 124+P, or 147?

I carry 124 gr +p gold dots. They have a great reputation. Best deal I've found is kylesgunshop.com

Gun show prices are really high on ammo. Especially hollow points

I'm convinced 124 gr +p HP is the sweet spot myself.

By the way, I bought 500 of Georgia Arms' 124 gr +p Gold Dot some time back, shot about 50 and stashed the rest.

Good way to get Gold Dot performance a little cheaper.

I see they make what's called "Speer Bonded Unicore" now, probably about same thing?

"NEW" 9MM Luger 124gr Speer Bonded Unicore Hollow Point +P 100pk

Anyway, can get in 50, 100, 1000.

GA will here this weekend, and again at Fairgrounds show in Jan.

Yep, I carry 124gr. +P Ranger T-series in my 9's. If I could have found a better deal on +P 124gr Gold Dots, I would have used them just as quickly. :)

you know that winchester ranger is loaded by s and b don't you

I don't care if it's loaded by Abercrombie & Fitch, as long as it is a quality product.

didnt say it wasnt good just that it was loaded by s and b one of the oldest ammo mfg. around

Yeah, I've always been happy with S&B's stuff. I did not, however, know that they produced the Rangers.

GA won't be here this weekend, but will be at Fairgrounds in Jan.

According to the gun show list on their site they will be at the Expo this weekend. Did you hear otherwise? They are the main reason I'm going.

Either they revised the schedule or I simply overlooked it. Probably the latter, my apologies.

Good catch.

Revising previous post in case it throws someone else off.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was revised because I checked their site this past weekend and looked it over good and it wasn't on there. So good news for you, you haven't lost it....completely anyway. :P
