Not sure if you ever get to Clarksville or if it's still there but there was a gently used LCP at Tennessee Gun Country with a Crimson Trace for $400 or so.

If you're into the whol laser thing, that is. I think it had an extra mag too but that may have been the gun next to it.

I'm going to be getting an LCP soon, but I don't know where to get it from. I have had good experiences with Budsgunshop.com, but I like to help out local businesses. I called around to some places and got prices and then compared with Bud's.

Cheapest I've found in town:

Retail $319.99

+9.25% tax

=$349.59

+$10 NICS

=$359.59

Buying from Bud's:

Retail $284.00

+$0 tax

+$0 shipping

+$1.10 money order

+$10 FFL transfer

+$10 NICS

=$305.10

Difference:

$54.49

I want to help local businesses, but not $54.49 worth. I also don't see the store service being worth $54.49. Should I try to make a deal with the store owner? I'd be willing to pay more than internet prices, of course, but only within reason. I dunno, what do you guys think?

I am with the OP on Guns and Leather; bought a couple of guns there, did my carry class there, and am always happy with service, etc. Saw where one of the G&L gents was IM'ing you, so hope you can go there. Nothing against Buds - just like Guns and Leather.

I also like TN Gun Country here in Clarksville - bought one gun there, good price (gives discount for retired or active military and also LEO).

Speaking of which, if ANYONE is looking at ANYTHING online, please let me know first - I will absolutely do my best to beat onine prices and generally can or come extremely close. On close ones I can usually up the ante with extras you wont get from online sellers, not to mention our usual promise that if you buy a gun from us and it doesnt work right, we will replace or switch out the gun for something else you may want - used or new, doesnt matter. If it came from our store, we will do everything in our power to make it right/you happy.

PM's are good, but I cant check TGO on a regular basis this time of year as we are extremely busy. Best bet is to just call me at the shop.

At a minimum, we should all at least give the local guys a chance. It's hard to know what they will do if you don't ask. Now in some cases, there are stores I wont buy anything from no matter what the price based on previous experiences (no need to guess where), but for places like Guns and Leather, we should always ask. You win some, you lose some, but if you don't have the chance to compete, it's hard to win.
