I have a better question. Is it too early to start looking for a non-RINO candidate?

Definitely not too early for that! I've no doubt that the Republican establishment who only see "R"s and "D"s will get heartburn over it but I'm hopeful that the Tea Party groups in Tennessee will be able to find and put forth a candidate that can defeat Corker for the nomination...the primary is the time and the ONLY time we can really make a difference in our choices for office.

Is it too early to discuss whether or not Senator Corker deserves our support? :stick:

It's a rather moot point in my always humble opinion because Corker doesn't deserve our support. He was the better of two bad choices; it's as simple as that and while I don't regret the vote I cased for him then I do regret that I had to cast that vote to keep someone ever worse from taking the seat.

I smell another lesser of two evils vote down the road.
Stop voting for evil and maybe they'll actually have to run a good candidate if they want to win.

If you vote for a candidate who doesn't represent you, even if they win, you lose. That is a "wasted vote".

I don't disagree. I suppose I just am desireous of another choice. I've been known to write in.

While I don't disagree in general; the real problem is that waiting until the general election is FAR too late to start worrying about it.

If you want a truly good candidate to vote for then the time to make that happen is months (at least) before the general election...once the primary has happened then you have no real choice of who to vote for except the one's chosen in the primary...as I said above, I didn't like voting for Corker but I sure as hell wasn't going to vote for his opponent and I don't think anyone can make a reasonable argument that Corker wasn't the better choice; not a great choice to be sure, but clearly the better of the two; at least in my opinion. :stare:
