Long gun carry with HCP

I may be overthinking this but is there any wrong way to transport a long gun in a vehicle with a HCP? (other than no chambered round of course.)

What I'm getting at is can the long gun be concealed?

For example in the passenger's seat under a jacket?

Or does it have to be in plain sight?

The only stipulation with a HCP is that the chamber must be empty.

You are overthinking. Why would you carry a long gun in the passenger seat?

Pistol grip Mossy.

Jump in the truck and go to the range about 5 miles away.

Wasn't sure if it had to be stowed behind the seat or could I just leave it on the seat beside me. Especially if getting pulled over.
