I thought of writing some lengthy step by step process of what I did to this rifle but I'm not a writer for any gun magazine and I need to work not type.

I started with this

Rem 700 300 Win Mag SS. Surgeon rifles DM bottom metal, Jewell trigger, Tubbs 2000 recoil lug, Harris bi-pod, YHM thread protector, and a McMillan stock. This is a customers rifle and I believe a member here on TGO. He had the vision and I did the work.

I acurized ( I hate the term blueprinting) the action. Threaded the muzzle 5/8-24 TPI. Had gunrunner32 DuraCoat all the metal ( he does a great job and his services free me up to do other projects and therefore allows me to be more efficient) Thanks gunrunner32 for the great work! I installed the over sized recoil lug, corrected head space, bedded the recoil lug area only, for McMillan stocks are bomb proof in my opinion and require minimal altering to their product for custom builds. The customer choose to keep his factory barrel and chambering. While I like fancy "match grade" after market barrels I have had just as good accuracy with stock barrels on some projects. If it ain't broke..... philosophy. This is the sort of work I truly enjoy doing.
