NRA Life Membership for $300?

It's time for me to renew my annual membership again and frankly I'm tired of having to remind myself of this each year. This time around I'd like to just get my Life Membership but I am also aware that there are $300 Life Member deals going on right now.

Can someone hook me up?

Thanks.

It's not $300 down, with additional time payments, for a reduced overall rate?

From what I have seen, there is a special going where a current life member can sponsor you and sign you up with a life membership using some form that they were sent. $300 total for a life membership, and they can sign up 20 people max. I'm going to have to look for someone who is a life member to help hook me up.

No, it's the basic life membership for $300 total. The notices are sent out to current life members to sign up family members for life memberships, but everyone seems to find a few "long lost cousins" to sign up.

I haven't received any of those offer letters lately, but if I do, I will post it up for anyone who wants it.

There is a recent thread on the highroad forum. The OP mentions it being limited to around 20 people. Looks like it is an annual thing that the NRA does.

Any of you who are also disabled Veterans can also get a reduced rate for a Lifetime membership.

It has been a few months since I talked with them but IIRC it was only $350.00 for a disabled Vet. I did not know that when I re-uped this year but I do hope to be able to take that deal next year.

I've not heard anything like this before, so I'm very interested as well. I have some inlaws with life memberships; so I'll be checking in with them to find out. Thanks, David for posting your question. This could be a great deal for a lot of us who would like to become life members.

I had the $600 upgrade when my new card came in but I can't spend that right now either. I'd do a $300 if I could find one. I may do the $600 next year if I don't see a $300 offer.

I don't know if this works or not, but I found this on another site:

It is back: NRA Lifetime Memberships $300

It is back: NRA Lifetime Memberships $300

Three possible ways to qualify:

1. Retired Veteran

2. Disabled Veteran

3. Be referred by a current lifetime member.

From now through January 31, 2010, NRA Life Members can sign up "family members and relatives" for Life Membership for $300 each.

If you cannot get a current lifetime member to sponsor you, the cost to upgrade right now is $500. (a great savings from the regular $1000 price).

Here's how:

Call the NRA at 1-800-672-3888

Press 3 for the lifetime dept.

Tell them a relative suggested you upgrade to a lifetime membership for $300.

Give them the referring lifetime member's NRA #, give them your NRA info, give them your credit card info.

Quick and easy!

I hope that's a typo.

  • 2 weeks later...

Interesting, I might do it next year just 2 much cash going out this time of year.

I just found out I guess NRA memberships are not a full year depending on when you sign up. I joined in July figuring I signed up for 1 year and I starting getting renewal notices in Nov.

Well if anyone has any left a couple weeks in to Jan. I might be able but certainly let others that are ready inline infront of me. Consider me later if there are any left but like I saw I may not be able this year.

If anyone wants a Life membership for the discounted $300 rate, please PM me. I got the form to sign up four (4) people. So, the first four that PM me get dibs on the offer.

Sent ya a PM earlier. Let me know if it didn't come through. :koolaid:
